Hey, hi!
I’m Kristen. I’m a trail running, mountain climbing, dog-loving enthusiast. And I happen to go on a lot of adventures.
My love affair with running has led me to discover and explore the best and most vulnerable parts of myself. It’s taught me humility, the importance of honesty, and the gift of true friendship. It’s pulled me from the deepest and darkest depths of depression and has forced me to look up. Regardless of how difficult or impossible it seemed at the time. It’s taught me how to stay grounded, live simply, and to laugh more often.
And that’s so special. Because it’s not something you can learn from someone telling you how to do it. You have to experience it for yourself. You have to feel it. And when you don’t believe you can, you have to see yourself come out on the other side—bruised and sometimes broken, but still intact.
It always amazes me how running has impacted so much of my life in so many positive and profound ways. That no matter what happens in life—good or bad—it will still be there, ready to provide more life lessons, more humbling slaps in the face, more Type-2 fun, and more joy than I ever imagined possible.
